Software Developer — Canadian Avalanche Association
Feb. 2018 - present

Maintaining and developing the CAA's InfoEx software - a platform available to avalanche professoionals for sharing weather, snowpack, and avalanche data.

Student Ambassador — U.B.C.

Travelling and presenting on behalf of the Student Recruitment team, and also providing campus tours showcasing the university campus, community, and culture to prospective undergraduate students. (~4hr/week public speaking)

Research Assistant — U.B.C.

Developing open source software for programming of vibro-tactile haptic interactions (~2,000 lines of Javascript and React.js), conducting user studies, and leading the writing of "Predictable and Distinguishable Morphing of Vibrotactile Rhythm" (see "Awards/Publications").

Programming Resource Centre Advisor — U.B.C.

Supported the operations of UBC's Student Housing and Hospitality Services by assisting staff in imagining, planning, and executing events and programs for UBC's on-campus community.

Registration Developer — U.B.C.
Mar. 2015 - Mar. 2016

Developed and maintained the Drupal-based registration system with online payment options for the 2016 Student Leadership Conference allowing over 1,400 participants to attend. (~1,000 lines PHP, HTML, and CSS)

Tech Student 3 — Pacific Northwest National Labs

Enhanced research in statistics by developing R Packages for scientists in the Signature Discovery Initiative. (~5,000 lines of R)

Created a safe and supportive living and learning environment for students living on campus at U.B.C.

Assisted with the analysis and visualization of radiochemical data collected by researchers in the Radiochemical Analysis group.(~1,500 lines of MatLab)
